200-250k
Leading Global Investment Banking Co seeks a VP or Director of Audit/Risk Management with 12-15 yrs experience. The ideal candidate with have a combination of Audit experience within financial services as well as Credit Risk experience a must, Market and Operational risk are a +
Successful candidates will be self-starters, and must have the ability to work in partnership with the other audit teams across the globe and must be able to operate at the most senior levels of the Bank. The person will
• Act as advisor on risk management audit approach
• Be a ‘risk manager’
•Be a strong influencer, and clear communicator of complex risk management Issues
• Work in a coordinated manner with fellow Principal audit Managers both locally and globally,
• Plan, lead and execute programme of audit coverage with limited supervision.
•Effectively manage teams
• Detailed understanding of US and International Regulations as they relate to Capital and Risk Management; in particular Basel II and MaRisk. Clear understanding of differences in various Basel II approaches for Risk Management.
• Detailed understanding of Liquidity Risk and Capital Management
• Broad understanding of different Businesses, including Investment Banking and Asset Wealth Management.
• Detailed understanding of Business Continuity and Corporate Security standards
•Detailed understanding of Leveraged and Structured Finance risk management practices.
• Broad understanding of Impairment, Provisioning and Valuation principles
• Thorough understanding of Risk and Valuation Model Risk and audit approaches
• Thorough understanding of Market Risk and Credit Risk Management tools and Techniques, including Economic Capital and VaR methodologies, as well as a good understanding of sensitivity and stress analysis
In addition, significant audit experience in a major investment bank or Big 4 accounting firm with experience in financial services audit is a pre-requisite. A solid understanding of internal control risk assessment concepts and strong analytical skills are required.
